Terms of service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Glovebox iOS app ("Glovebox", "the app") published by Demesugh Aber ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Glovebox.
We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Glovebox on iPhones and iPads you own or control, in accordance with Apple's standard End User License Agreement and these Terms.
- Glovebox requires Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID or Google account secure.
- You must be at least 13 years old. If you're between 13 and the legal age of majority in your country, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and accepted these Terms on your behalf.
- One person per account. You may install Glovebox on multiple devices signed in to the same Apple ID or, with the Pro Family plan, share with up to 5 members of your Apple Family group.
- Pro Monthly — auto-renewing monthly subscription.
- Pro Annual — auto-renewing yearly subscription.
- Pro Family — auto-renewing yearly subscription, shareable with up to 5 people in your Apple Family group.
- Pro Lifetime — one-time purchase, non-consumable.
Live pricing is shown in the app paywall in your local currency.
All purchases are processed by Apple's StoreKit. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel, upgrade or downgrade any time from iOS Settings → [your name] → Media & Purchases → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; no partial refunds.
Refunds are handled by Apple. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We can't issue refunds directly.
If you cancel Pro, your Glovebox data is preserved. After the current billing period ends: you can keep your first (primary) vehicle and all of its history; additional vehicles become read-only until you re-subscribe or delete them; cloud sync, alternate app icons and the receipt scanner+ features pause.
You retain ownership of everything you enter into Glovebox — vehicle records, logs, photos, notes, service-centre contacts.
We do not claim any rights to your data and do not licence it to any third party. See the Privacy Policy ↗ for details on how it's stored and protected.
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or otherwise attempt to extract Glovebox's source code, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.
- Use Glovebox to violate the rights of others or any applicable law.
- Attempt to circumvent the StoreKit purchase flow or the free-tier vehicle limit.
- Use Glovebox to store data that doesn't reasonably relate to vehicle ownership and maintenance.
We reserve the right to suspend accounts that abuse the service.
Glovebox estimates when your next oil change, tyre rotation or service is due based on the intervals you've configured and the odometer readings you've recorded. These estimates are informational only. Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's official maintenance schedule and consult a qualified mechanic before performing or skipping any service.
VIN look-ups are sourced from the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vPIC database. We pass the result through unchanged. NHTSA's coverage is best for vehicles sold in the United States; results may be incomplete for other markets. We make no representation as to accuracy.
Receipt, VIN and odometer scanning use on-device optical character recognition. Recognition accuracy depends on lighting, camera quality and image clarity. Always verify the value the scanner suggests before saving.
You can delete your Glovebox account and all associated data inside the app: Settings → Delete account & all data. The deletion is immediate and final. CloudKit-mirrored copies follow within a few minutes.
We do not retain backups we could restore from after deletion.
We may modify or discontinue any feature of Glovebox at any time, with or without notice. If we discontinue the service entirely we will give at least 30 days' notice via an in-app banner and, where reasonable, provide a tool to export your data first.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms.
Glovebox is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Demesugh Aber disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Glovebox will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the predictive maintenance suggestions are accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event will Demesugh Aber, its officers, employees or contractors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, use or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of Glovebox.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms will not exceed the total amount you have paid to Demesugh Aber for Glovebox in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 if you have not paid anything, whichever is greater.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Demesugh Aber from any claim, demand or damages — including reasonable legal fees — arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of Glovebox.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. You and Demesugh Aber agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Glovebox.
If you live outside Nigeria, nothing in this clause overrides any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be announced via an in-app notice the next time you launch Glovebox. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document always reflects the current revision. Continued use of Glovebox after a change constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
